Process Engineer

Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a talented and dynamic Process Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This is initially a year contract. With a strong focus on innovation and excellence, our client is dedicated to delivering high-quality products to their customers worldwide.

In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing the company's production processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for:

  • Applying your technical expertise to evaluate and analyse current manufacturing processes.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative solutions to enhance production efficiency.
  • Collaborating with engineers, technicians, and operators to optimise equipment performance and minimise downtime.
  • Conducting root cause analysis and troubleshooting process-related issues to prevent recurrence.
  • Developing and implementing process control plans to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Tracking and analysing process data to identify trends and make informed recommendations for optimisation.
  • Participating in new product development projects to ensure smooth transition into production.
  • Continuously assessing industry best practises and new technologies to drive innovation and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Providing technical support and training to operations teams to facilitate a culture of continuous improvement.

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Must have degree level in Chemical or Process Engineering and have or working towards Chartered Engineering status
  • Proven experience as a Process Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of process optimisation methodologies, such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in process modelling and simulation tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and cross-functional environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and results.
