Our client is a successful and growing manufacturing and service Group of businesses. You will be based from the head office in Grantham.

Description

You will be reporting into the Financial Controller and will be working as part of a team of 9 in finance. This is a brand new role that has been created to manage the financial reporting, management accounts preparation and day-to-day financial operations of a newly created business within the Group, which is experiencing rapid growth. This is a role that will progress and develop over time so would suit someone who is keen to progress and develop. Once you have received all of the necessary training, your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Produce financial statements, including trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet.
  • Prepare and file VAT returns
  • Record and post the day to day financial transactions, including: sales, purchases, receipts and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts and other financial accounts.
  • Supporting with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Identify, investigate and resolve any account discrepancies.
  • Manage the accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, preparing payments and maintaining supplier records.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory level and reconcile inventory accounts.
  • Support with inventory audits and manage adjustments.
  • Support with internal and external audits.
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Identify ways that processes and reporting can be improved and drive these improvements.

Profile

To apply for this position, you:

  • Must have experience of working in finance
  • Will have has some experience of working in management accounts
  • Will ideally be studying an accounting qualification (AAT, CIMA or ACCA) but my client will consider qualified by experience candidates
