Bennett & Game are currently seeking a Site Engineer to join a Contractor based in Grantham. This particular client operates as both a Main contractor on residential developments and a Sub-contractor on groundworks projects, achieving a combined annual turnover of circa £30m. Known for their innovative approach and robust project management, they consistently deliver high-quality outcomes while fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

This role is ideal for a self-sufficient Site Engineer with at least five years of experience, who is confident in managing site engineering duties independently.

Site Engineer - Package & Benefits:

Site Engineer - Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret setting-out drawings and set out line and level using co-ordinates via Robotic Total Station
  • Receive and interpret drawings, ensuring accurate site implementation
  • Maintain and provide as-built records, drawings, and reports
  • Carry out all calculations for quantities, temporary works, and statutory authority requirements
  • Conduct pre-commencement and completion surveys, recording all data accurately
  • Maintain document control for site drawings, ensuring up-to-date records
  • Identify design errors before implementation and liaise with designers for timely adjustments
  • Provide technical support and ensure engineering accuracy on all site activities

Site Engineer - Requirements:

  • HND / Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Site / Setting Out Engineer
  • Strong groundworks and civil engineering background
  • Proficient in setting out using Robotic Total Station and interpreting setting-out drawings
  • Ability to work independently on-site and manage engineering tasks efficiently
  • Solid understanding of construction engineering principles and practices
  • Good tenure and proven ability to deliver projects accurately and on time
