Our Grantham client is looking for a new candidate to join their Finance team. The Finance Manager will be responsibility to ensure the department runs efficiently and meets the requirements of the business.

Duties include of the Finance Manager:

  • Production of weekly cashflow forecasting.
  • Oversee purchase ledger to ensure the team are processing and coding invoices and making payments on Sage 50.
  • Draft monthly management accounts, looking into variances and investigating adjustments.
  • Providing an overview of the sales invoicing process, analysing postings, and correcting queries.
  • Managing the payroll processing system, reporting of pensions and taxes.
  • Undertake the HR function including offer letters and contracts of employment are issued and managing disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Administration of the Sage HR system, providing updates to documents and policies.
  • Month End reconciliations and preparation for year-end.
  • Creating quarterly VAT return and annual submission reports

To be considered for the Finance Manager role candidates must be AAT qualified or equivalent. Have an all-round accounts knowledge and enjoy multi-tasking in a role. Previous experience overseeing a small team would be helpful but is not essential. Previous SAGE 50 exposure is essential as is intermediate Excel and Word skills.
