SEND Teaching Assistant (Full Time/Temporary)

The role

We are currently seeking additional Teaching Assistant – Special Needs to work within our partner SEND school settings in Grantham.

The Teaching Assistant – Special Needs role involves supporting primary aged pupils who have been identified as having additional needs. These needs range from ASD, PMLD, Complex needs, Mobility, SEMH and MLD. The assignment is over multiple sites across Dewsbury.

This school aims to provide both students and staff with a positive and supportive learning experience which promotes success and achievement in academic, social, moral and personal development.

Requirements
To be considered for the position of SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • A passion for the progress of SEND secondary school pupils.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to work in different classrooms or with different students as required. Demonstrate the ability to adjust teaching approaches and strategies to meet individual student needs.
  • Hold, or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS, registered to the Update Service
