AJ Chambers are proud to partnered with a leading professional services company in Grantham as they look to expand part of their legal services offering by hiring a Paralegal into their Private Client team.

Responsibilities:

  • support in the preparation of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Trust deeds
  • estate administration
  • preparing papers including IHT accounts and estate accounts
  • applying for a grant of representation using the provided software package
  • creating necessary legal documentation
  • drafting basic deeds, documents, and letters
  • conducting legal research as needed
  • handling basic correspondence and client-related telephone calls
  • understanding legal procedures
  • participating in the efficient management of client/matter files, including timely and accurate filing, file closure, archiving, retrieval, and return from storage, as well as updating relevant databases
  • managing administrative tasks and providing support to the team, including scanning, faxing, printing, document binding/bundling, time recording, and photocopying
  • using the case management system to store documents electronically
  • maintaining client relationship management data and records
  • welcoming clients and arranging meetings as needed
  • responding to client inquiries

Skills and Experience:

  • Ideal candidate will have experience working in a regulated environment such as FCA, SRA or CILEx
  • Law degree or CILEx would be a benefit
  • Adopt a positive approach to teamwork and build strong relationships
  • Demonstrate a strong desire to learn and expand knowledge
  • Work independently to a high level while collaborating with experienced partners and fee earners on complex matters when necessary
  • Communicate legal matters clearly to clients
  • Be discreet and respect client confidentiality
  • Approach tasks in a structured manner to ensure high-quality completion
  • Show strong organizational and time management skills
