Your Role as Purchasing Manager

Youll play a pivotal role in managing and controlling the procurement of materials, goods, and services across multiple projects, ensuring seamless coordination between Project Managers, Material Controllers, and Manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and purchase materials, components, and services in line with technical, quality, and delivery requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts and secure cost-effective deals with suppliers.
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders aligned with supplier agreements.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams and suppliers to support new designs and project procurement needs.
  • Provide procurement insights and strategy, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

What Were Looking For:

  • Proven experience in buying/procurement within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of technical equipment and materials procurement.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, negotiate effectively, and build lasting supplier relationships.
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) is ideal.
