Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Vehicle Technician. This role involves carrying out a variety of maintenance tasks and complex vehicle repairs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about automotive work, highly skilled in diagnostics, and committed to providing exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs across various makes and models
  • Carry out inspections, including MOT preparation, brake inspections, and emissions checks
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues
  • Replace and repair vehicle components such as brakes, tires, exhausts, and engines
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, Automotive Mechanic, or in a related role
  • Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, braking, suspension, and transmission
  • Proficiency with vehicle diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in identifying and addressing issues
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to adhering to workplace health and safety standards
  • Good communication skills to work effectively in a team and provide updates to colleagues
  • Valid driver's license is required

Desirable Skills:

  • NVQ & Guilds Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent certification
  • Prior experience with MOT testing or certification is advantageous
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and modern vehicle technologies

Working Hours:

  • Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break
  • Flexible option to work on Saturdays if needed
