Principal Electronics Engineer
Edinburgh
Paying up to 65p/h (Outside IR35)
Responsibilities:
- Hardware requirements capture and management
- Concept development for complex functions and systems
- PCB design for FPGA
- High-speed digital design and analysis
- Integration and testing
- Design of supporting electronics, including point of load power and analogue
- Production of material for design reviews
- Development of test planning, integration and design verification
- Mentoring and supervision of more junior team members.
Experience required:
- Proficiency with design of high-speed digital PCBs with large FPGAs
- Experience with design tool and also in the lab
- Designing electronics for harsh environments
- PCB for FPGAs
- High speed digital interfaces (10 Gbps and faster!)
- Experience using: MATLAB, Spice, Hyperlynx
- Experience with Mentor DxDesigner & Keysight SIPro/PIPro
