Regional Sales Manager – Bioenergy 

Northern Ireland

This client has one of the largest portfolio of biogas and AD facilities across the UK. They are looking to expand their sales team in Organic waste.

This role is responsible for creating sales and expanding the customer base to reach company targets.

  • Ensure high levels of Health, Safety and Environmental practice with a duty of care to yourself and others.
  • Achieve and exceed performance objectives.
  • Create, develop, and manage sales pipeline to identify current and future opportunities, both regional and national
  • Preparing quotes in line with the agreed feedstock strategy and re-negotiating terms where appropriate.
  • Create and develop strong working relationships with potential clients.
  • Establish a network or relationships within the industrial food and beverage manufacturing and grocery sectors.
  • Develop and manage Annual Business Plan, Strategy and contribute to budget planning.
  • Utilise network opportunities within the C&I business community.
  • Submit all reports in a timely manner as directed by the Head of Commercial
  • Utilise the CRM system for all leads, quotations and contracts – full training to be provided.
  • Attending sales meetings as directed
  • Manage the area with regards to travel planning and meetings, being mindful of effective time management
  • Monitor competitor activity (services and prices) and market conditions, reporting key activity, developments, and issues as necessary, and reacting as required.
  • Develop and articulate an effective sales proposition.
  • Conduct professional customer appointments, achieving a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and maximising sales opportunities.
  • Respond to sales enquiries promptly by phone, electronically and in person.
  • Development & achievement of sales KPIs surrounding appointments, cold calls, pipeline etc.
  • Deliver customer service excellence and innovation in our proposals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure client satisfaction and contract compliance.
  • Provide technical support and advice to customers.
  • Implement innovation to reduce contamination and rejection.
  • Ensure timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound bids.
  • Understand and tailor bid applications appropriately, creating bespoke responses for each customer.
  • Secure, maintain and develop relationships with external 3rd party tipping/collection accounts.
  • Securing and managing spot market accounts
  • Undertaking site tours with the assistance of the site manager for new and existing customers
  • Account management of existing and new accounts
  • You may also be required to carry out any other duties as required by the business that you are qualified/trained in that meet the requirements of this role.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the Organics waste industry a considerable advantage.
  • Create, follow and implement regional sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives
  • Report on regional sales results
  • Forecasting annual sales and profit
  • Identify business opportunities for suitable organic waste streams
  • Meeting targets for personal and business objectives.
  • Strong IT Skills
  • UK Driving License.
  • Drive and commitment to exceeding targets
  • Excellent Commercial Acumen. Communication and relationship building skills.
  • Honest, approachable, can-do, flexible, consistent, a self-starter able to create strategy and roll sleeves up as required. Confident but not closed to the ideas of others.
  • Willingness to Travel throughout Ireland. Ability to work under pressure
