THE BUSINESS:

Our client is a multi-million-pound manufacturing company renowned for its innovation and excellence. Committed to producing high-quality products and continuous improvement our client is now looking to recruit a Maintenance Supervisor who can supervise the daily operation within engineering.

Overview:

As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance activities within a fast-paced manufacturing facility. You will manage a dedicated team of around 15 skilled engineers and technicians, ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and facilities to maximise production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of multi-skilled maintenance engineers and technicians, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Plan, prioritise, and oversee maintenance activities, including preventive, corrective, and emergency repairs to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with other departments to schedule maintenance tasks, balancing production needs with maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety standards and regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Monitor and report on maintenance performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
  • Develop and implement training programs for the maintenance team to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Manage budgets and resources efficiently, maintaining inventory of spare parts and tools.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified engineer (either electrical or mechanical) .
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role, leading and managing multi-skilled maintenance teams.
  • Strong background in maintenance within a fast-paced manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and best practices.
