We are currently seeking a Refuse Lorry Driver for a well-established client based in Gravesend. As a key part of the waste management team, you will be responsible for operating a refuse lorry, collecting waste from various locations, and ensuring that the service is delivered in an efficient and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class 2 refuse lorry, complying with all relevant safety and traffic regulations.
- Complete waste collection rounds in designated areas, adhering to established routes and schedules.
- Work alongside a crew to load and transport household or commercial waste.
- Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of the vehicle.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to address any issues or changes in the collection process.
- Complete necessary paperwork and log sheets accurately.
Requirements:
- A valid Class 2 (Category C) driving license is essential.
- Proven experience as a refuse driver or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of refuse collection procedures and safety guidelines.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- A positive, reliable attitude and a strong work ethic.
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Friday, starting at 7:00 AM each day. The finish time will depend on the completion of the assigned rounds.
- Flexibility in working hours may be required depending on the demands of the job.
