Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and/or small group support to reinforce learning expectations in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework
  • Support children who have been identified with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Help provide a safe, creative and engaging environment
  • Support students in managing their behaviour and regulating their emotions following the school behaviour policy
  • Assistant with the personal care of young children
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with other colleagues, professionals and parents/carers regarding children’s development and well-being
  • Assist in preparing teaching materials and classroom resources
  • Keep accurate records of children’s activities and progress

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A full and relevant Level 2 or above qualification within Early Years
  • Experience as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner) or have worked with children under the age of 5 (minimum of 3 months of experience)
  • Child DBS check on the Update Service or willing to pay and apply for a new one (Twenty4Seven Education can assist you with this process)
  • A good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework
  • You can demonstrate a patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to working with children
  • You have excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • You are committed to creating a supportive learning environment
