Job Purpose Summary CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading fire safety organisation. We are seeking an experienced Fire Door Inspector to support the Fire Door Inspection Manager in delivering annual Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks across a diverse client portfolio. The successful candidate will be highly organised, computer literate, and possess excellent communication skills. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong knowledge of fire door systems and industry regulations to take on a key role in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
  • Provide market-leading customer service by staying up-to-date with the latest fire safety regulations and technical specifications.
  • Liaise effectively with internal departments, clients, and subcontractors to ensure the smooth running of the inspection process.
  • Respond to customer inquiries with compliant, cost-effective, and technically accurate solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety procedures and regulations.
  • Secure ongoing PPM maintenance contracts and manage relationships with existing clients to ensure long-term satisfaction.
Person Specification
  • Previous experience in a passive fire customer service role or as a fire door inspector.
  • Competence in using computer systems and complex software programs.
  • A solid working knowledge of fire door systems and their components.
  • Familiarity with relevant fire safety standards, including BS476-22 and BS 8214.
  • Excellent literacy skills with the ability to prepare clear reports and documentation.
  • Strong punctuality and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic, with a proactive approach to work.
  • Clear communicator, with excellent telephone manner when dealing with clients, subcontractors, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently when required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • Professional and respectful in all interactions, with the ability to build lasting relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
