Attega Group is currently partnering exclusively with our client in recruiting a Plumbers Mate/Assistant to join the team.
The main purpose of this role is to work alongside a lead operative to attend both reactive and planned works within commercial premises, office space, retail, industrial sites and food establishments.
In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £28,000P/A + Overtime opportunities of up to an additional £8,000, depending on experience, plus progression opportunities, pension, annual leave.
This is a full-time, permanent role) The hours of work will be consisting of 4x 11.25hr shifts per week. Monday Night – Thursday night. Generally onsite time 7.30pm – 4am but can change depending on location of works. Â
Reporting to the Remedials Team Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Leak tracing and investigation on above ground water services
- Repairing leaks on water services in service voids and risers.
- Removing and replacing small bore waste pipe on pot wash sinks, basins, urinals etc
- Replacing mixer taps, wash down taps and spray guns
- Replacing toilet float lines and stack pipework
- Removing and Installing cast iron soil pipework
- Assisting drainage operatives with cutting in pipe access to support blockage clearance and investigation works
The ideal candidate:
- Valid UK driving license is essential.
- Some experience in plumbing/drainage i.e. college courses or on-site experience.
- Willingness to support with drainage related plumbing works.
- Experience with working on commercials properties
- Can do work ethic.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
