Purchase Ledger Clerk
  • Annual Salary: Up to £26,000

  • Job Type: Full-time (Office hours: 08:30 to 17:00 or 09:00 to 17:30)

We are seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to managing financial records. Day-to-day of the role:
  • Process and authorise invoices on the ledger.
  • Check invoices against statements and chase missing invoices.
  • Conduct monthly payment runs.
  • Reconcile credit card, PayPal, and cash book entries.
  • Prepare and analyse management accounts.
  • Provide holiday cover for the sales ledger on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Solve queries related to purchase ledger activities efficiently.
  • Running VAT Reports
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a purchase ledger role.
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 is highly advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Ability to adapt to a bespoke system (training will be provided).
  • Flexible work approach and prepared to handle various queries.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
