Maintenance EngineerDartford, KentManufacturing Monday to Friday - DAYS£40,000 + OvertimeGi Pro are proud to be working in partnership with a national manufacturing company who are present in the UK, Europe, and Asia with over 200 employees in the UK, the company in question are looking for an multi skilled maintenance engineer - mech bias.Job Role:Working at the site based in Northwest Kent the role is to maintain, service and repair, all machinery to ensure smooth running of the site as well as meeting all health and safety requirements. This is a high energy, fast evolving environment with exciting challenges daily.Typical duties involve:

  • To maintain site health, safety & environmental standards, and company policies.
  • Be responsible for own safety and the safety of those around who may be impacted.
  • To attend and resolve equipment breakdowns within agreed target times.
  • To carry out and record works in accordance with the maintenance plan
  • To provide engineering support to the operation and minimise non-operational time.
  • To maintain workshop inventory
  • To support process improvement activities which affect Overall Equipment Effectiveness (product of Quality, Performance & Availability)

Desirable experience

  • Mechanical experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Hydraulics and Pneumatics
  • Practical fault-finding knowledge of Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation systems.
  • Mechanical systems - gears, shafts, bearings, drive belts, conveyors.
  • Electrical drive systems - direct, geared, fixed & variable speed controllers.
  • Must be eligible to work in UK.
  • Full driving licence
