O'Halloran & O'Brien Ltd. currently seeking a hard-working Structural Engineer/Architect for the position of Design Manager working on a mixed use design & build projects in the London/Greater London area.
Extremely competitive salary offered, dependent on applicant experience. The role will be based in our offices in Gravesend Kent.
Expected hours: 50 per week
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage the design process for design and build contracts.
- Act as primary contact for design teams, client and production teams.
- Advise on strategy and cost effectiveness of various methods of construction.
- Co-ordinate design and project information supplied to construction team.
- Manage compliance checks against specification and client requirements.
- Manage design output to agreed programme.
- Liaise with Local Authorities, Building Control and Planning Departments
Requirements
- 5 to 10 years professional experience in similar role for a Main Contractor/Developer.
- Good working knowledge of NHBC and building regulations.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and management skills essential.
- Candidate must be proactive, self-disciplined, organised and motivated to develop.
- Design/Tech Management: 1 year (required)
- Licence/Certification: CSCS card (required)
