Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young people and a commitment to providing a nurturing and inspirational learning environment. You will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that pupils remain engaged and on task with their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes during the absence of teachers, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Implement lesson plans and manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Support pupils in their learning and personal development.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other colleagues to support pupil progress.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on pupil engagement and behaviour.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the needs of the school.
