Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Gravesend

Role Overview:

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will play a crucial role in supporting the teaching staff and enhancing the learning experience of stutents. You will work closely with teachers to plan and deliver high-quality learning activities, provide targeted support to students, and contribute to the overall development of the school community in heart of Gravesend.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons, ensuring a high standard of education.
  • Support individual and small groups of students with their learning needs, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively and create a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support students with additional needs.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of school policies and practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience is essential.
