Youth Support Worker LOCATIONS:           Dartford and GraveshamSALARY:                  £20,800DURATION:FTC   HOURS:                    30 hours per week             (Flexible working hours dependent on the needs of the Service User) Daily Duties
  • Supporting a caseload of 15 children and young people.
  • Work with potential referrers to identify appropriate referrals to the service.
  • Implement effective assessment and goal setting with identified children and young people.
  • Develop a programme of support for each child or young person, to include delivery of the evidence-based programmes for resilience, healthy relationships etc (as appropriate).
  • Develop a good working relationship with schools, children, families, and other agencies to ensure that the service is effective.
  • Provide relevant support for school-based staff and staff in other universal settings to ensure identified children and young people are supported across these settings.
  • Work directly with parents to ensure that they are better able to understand/ support their child’s needs and support the development of resilience and improved well-being.
  • Explore all opportunities for talents and interests to be developed using local resources.
  • Ensure a good level of support to children, young people and families, including onward referral to other agencies where necessary.
  • Keep clear accurate records and provide the required monitoring and evaluation information and any other progress reports required by due dates.
  • Implement evaluation tools to demonstrate impact of intervention.
  • Attend monthly supervision with for quality assurance and personal development purposes.
  • Consider own training needs, keeping up to date with relevant good practice, and sharing this with team members.
 Essential requirements
  • DBS within the last 12 months (must have original copy)
  • Supported children and young people.
Desirable requirements
  • Experience working with domestic violence victims.
  • Driver with own car
