We are recruiting for experienced former police detectives to support a major investigation

  • Pay rate: £20.91 - £26.16 per hour
  • Location: Gravesend, Kent with hybrid/flexible working

Join our mission to help the world Love Mondays! We are seeking experienced former police detectives to support a major investigation in Gravesend, Kent. This role is ideal for professionals with a background in UK police work and PIP 2 accreditation, offering a hybrid working model with some duties performed remotely and others at North Kent Police Station.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Support the Case Building Team in planning, preparing, and obtaining complex witness testimony from key witnesses.
  • Participate in complex Major Crime operations, which may enhance case outcomes.
  • Potentially work across other teams, such as suspect interview and case management, depending on investigative needs.
  • Utilise your expertise in the College of Policing’s crime management framework to effectively build cases.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Professionalising Investigation Programme level 2 (PIP2) or equivalent, with recent experience in investigating serious crime.
  • Recent experience (ideally within the last 12 months) in conducting investigative interviews.
  • Proficient knowledge of the College of Policing’s crime management framework.
  • Previous experience in a Major Incident Room or HOLMES environment is advantageous.
  • All candidates must pass strict police vetting and right to work checks.
