Chartered Surveyor / RICS Registered Valuer

We are seeking an articulate, intelligent, and experienced Chartered Surveyor / RICS Registered Valuer to join our forward-thinking company. This role requires extensive valuation knowledge and experience in both the commercial and residential development sectors. The ideal candidate will be analytical, perceptive, and possess excellent communication skills, capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Conduct professional work including rent reviews and lease renewals,and identify opportunities to re-gear existing leases.
  • Undertake a wide range of valuation instructions using comparative, investment, and residual methods for major institutions, property companies, and banks.
  • Value properties by applying expert knowledge of the local property market.
  • Take accurate measurements of sites and premises at all stages of development.
  • Write detailed reports for purposes such as rent reviews, investment potential, and marketability.
  • Negotiate confidently on issues such as rents and apply appropriate law for landlord and tenant negotiations.
  • Assess properties for capital taxation, acquisitions, and disposals.
  • Make planning, environmental, and other statutory enquiries.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must be a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS/FRICS) and an RICS Registered Valuer.
  • Extensive knowledge of valuation and landlord & tenant within the commercial and residential development sector.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Office/IT administration, Valuation Exchange, and development software such as ProDev.
  • Must hold a clean, full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle with business insurance.
