This is an exciting opportunity for a talented teacher to deliver engaging Food Technology lessons while inspiring students to explore their creativity, develop their culinary skills, and understand the wider world of Hospitality & Catering.
Responsibilities of a Teacher of Food Technology:- Deliver high-quality lessons in Food Technology and Hospitality & Catering across KS3 and KS4.
- Develop and implement creative, practical, and challenging lesson plans that ignite student interest and foster skill development.
- Inspire students to explore topics like nutrition, food science, and the hospitality industry.
- Maintain a safe, well-equipped classroom environment and promote good health and safety practices.
- Assess, track, and report on student progress to ensure they meet or exceed their potential.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the design and delivery of a dynamic Food Technology curriculum.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Specialism or proven experience teaching Food Technology and/or Hospitality & Catering.
- A commitment to delivering practical, inspiring, and inclusive lessons.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage practical lessons effectively.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to apply for one.
- A genuine enthusiasm for fostering creativity and a love of learning in students.
