The Role: Accounts Senior - Thurrock - £30k - £40k per annum

We are on the lookout for a friendly and skilled Accounts Senior to join our client’s vibrant team! In this position, you'll have the opportunity to work with a dynamic group of professionals in a fast-paced environment where your contributions will truly make a difference.

As an Accounts Senior, you'll take the lead in managing financial reporting, maintaining accurate accounts, and supporting the Finance Director. Our client prides themselves on fostering a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere, where your ideas will be valued, and your career can thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Balance Sheet reconciliation, Fixed assets, HMRC, Payroll control, Creditors, Debtors, intercompany trading etc
  • Journals various
  • Month end processing
  • Sales Invoices importing and reconcile
  • Purchase Order number generation
  • Purchase invoices input
  • Purchase invoices import
  • Daily Cash receipts posting and allocation
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Sales Ledger Statements, housekeeping
  • Credit control
  • Duty Sales input and Vat Intercompany reconciliations
  • Bank Transfers intercompany, BACS and Priority payments HSBC
  • Key Audit contact
  • Add-hoc processes
  • Must be proficient on Excel
  • Overseeing staff duties and providing training.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail
  • Previous experience in Sage200 or Sage50
  • Planning and Organisational Skills
  • The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Ability to use handheld devices and the use of other computerised equipment
  • Full UK drivers licence

The Package

  • Salary £30,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience
  • Monday to Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm 1 hour for lunch
  • Free on-site parking
  • 28 days annual leave
  • Death in service x 4 salary
  • Company Pension Scheme 4% company contribution
  • Based in West Thurrock with occasional travel to Tilbury 80/20
