We are looking for a versatile Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded individual with experience in managing various ledgers, including purchase and sales ledgers. This role is perfect for someone who is not only skilled in day-to-day accounting tasks but also has some experience in management accounts.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee and manage daily accounting tasks including purchase ledger and sales ledger activities.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Reconcile finance accounts and direct debits.
  • Assist with budget preparation and forecast activities.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external agencies, such as auditors, to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Provide financial analysis and reports to management as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a similar role with a good mix of various ledgers.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
