Salary: £35,000 per annum

Job Overview:Reporting directly to the Customer Service Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality customer service, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring the smooth execution of customer transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound telephone calls, process orders, manage cases, and assist with customer inquiries and deliveries.
  • Work towards KPIs and job duties, ensuring efficient task completion.
  • Perform general administrative duties in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships, regularly update customer details, and encourage upselling to promote business growth.
  • Collaborate with Transport Managers and the Customer Services Manager to resolve any service issues and ensure on-time delivery of transactions.
  • Conduct site visits to provide waste management solutions, as needed.
  • Assist customers in classifying their waste in compliance with hazardous/special waste procedures.
  • Provide quotations for hazardous/special waste and ensure the correct paperwork is in place.
  • Stay informed about waste management legislation and assist customers with compliance, offering them simple, clear solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professional telephone manner and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, etc.), and a willingness to learn new systems.
  • Numeracy skills, along with a "can-do" attitude and a desire for continuous development.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in transport, waste management, or sales.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a customer service role.
