Our client is recruiting in the South East for a knowledgeable Asbestos Surveyor to undertake the full range of surveys and discuss findings directly with clients. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and a professional manner when attending client sites. You will be joining a privately-owned company, with a good reputation and busy client base. Salaries and benefits are competitive, and include company pension and overtime opportunities.
You will be covering sites across: Grays, Tilbury, Stanford-le-hope, Basildon, Wickford, Billericay, Rayleigh, Burnham-on-Crouch, Hockley, Southend-on-Sea, Canvey Island, Maldon, Chelmsford, Romford, Barking, Ilford, Dagenham, Hornchurch, Rainham, Epping, Harlow, Sawbridgeworth, Cheshunt, Waltham Cross, Erith, Dartford, Gravesend, Bexleyheath, Sidcup, Bromley, Swanley, Orpington.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Must be qualified with the BOHS P402 (or RSPH equivalent) as a minimum
- Will have proven history working as an Asbestos Surveyor for a UKAS accredited outfit
- Excellent understanding of the UKAS and HSG 264 guidelines
- Strong written and IT skills
- Good client-facing skills
The Role:
- Undertaking the full range of Management, Refurbishment and Demolition asbestos surveys
- Travelling to a mixed portfolio of local authority, commercial and residential client sites
- Collecting suspected ACM samples from site
- Writing thorough asbestos survey reports
- Meeting with clients to provide technical advice
- Maintaining the company's reputation
- Supporting the training of new members of staff
