The job is for a Highways Technician/Paviour based in RM203EE (Grays, Thurrock) with a pay rate of £15.36 per hour.
This position involves long-term, regular temporary work covering long-term sickness, with potential for future opportunities for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities include laying paving and kerbs, constructing and repairing gullies and manholes, and fitting/repairing soak away systems.
Candidates must have a current City & Guilds Certificate in Street works or relevant work experience, along with essential tarmac experience and a driving license.
Health & Safety awareness, including Manual Handling and confined space working, is also required for this role.

Based in RM203EE (Grays, Thurrock)

Pay: 15.36ph

Long term, regular temporary work, covering long term sickness but could leave to further opportunities for the right candidate in the future.

ADVERT:

Our Client is looking for a Highways Technician/Paviour to carry out the operational work involved in the maintenance, repair and upkeep of carriageways, footpaths, drainage systems and associated items.

Duties:

Lay paving and kerbs
To construct, reinstate or erect: new gullies and manholes, including working in confined spaces and using breathing apparatus if required
To repair damaged gullies and manholes, including working in confined spaces and using breathing apparatus if required
Fit/repair soak away systems
Drainage and connection of drainage systems
Kerbs, edgings, blocks and paving slabs
Street furniture, signs, seats, barriers etc

Requirements:

Health & Safety including Manual Handling and COSHH awareness and confined space working
Current City & Guilds Certificate in Street works or relevant work experience
Tarmac experience - ESSENTIAL
Driving licence - ESSENTIAL
