Job description

Building Services Team Leader (Electrical Bias) Facilities Management Lakeside Shopping Centre, Essex.

My client is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Bias Building Services Team Leader to cover the maintenance operations across on of England's most well known shopping centres in Grays, Essex.

This role would suit an individual that can work using their own initiative and have a proactive approach to undertake all tasks required, a conscientious and reliable engineer, competent working alone and someone who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Building Services Engineer Team Leader (Electrical Bias) Job Specification:

  • To carry out planned preventative maintenance as per CAFM programme.
  • Test against engineering standards to ensure effectiveness and reliability of the plant and associated systems.
  • To ensure company quality assurance and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects including electrical safety rules and NICEIC accreditation.
  • Ensure company and site, health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Maintain and issue accurate site records/documentation in association with all site works.
  • To inspect the condition of services and proactively deal with callouts/repairs as required and requested by management.
  • Carry out tasks within typical plant room environments and at high level, working from platforms and ladders. All access and PPE will be provided.
  • Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
  • To proactively work towards the continued success and support of the team with a positive approach.
  • Complete any other associated task requested by the management.
  • Respond to emergency call-out via team on a rota basis.
  • Attend site emergencies, outside of normal working hours.
  • Shift pattern rota
  • Respond to emergency call-out requests to ensure clients systems are not prejudiced and to maintain the continuity of operation.
  • Manage the onsite engineer team and maintaining standards for site.
  • To ensure our retailers receive a proactive interface with technical issues from shop fit through to operation and beyond.

Building Services Team Leader (Electrical Bias) Salary & Package:

  • £46,000.00 Per Annum
  • Continental Day Shift (4on/4off/6on/4off/4on/6off)
  • 06:00-18:00 / 09:00-21:00
  • 28 Days Annual Leave
  • 3% Company Penson Contribution
  • Overtime Available
  • Training and Progression Provided

The Person:

  • Level 3 Engineering Maintenance (Electrical)
  • IET 18th Edition
  • Three years demonstrable experience as an electrician preferably within maintenance capacity.
  • Training or awareness of safe manual handling.
  • Flexibility to support the building service team.
  • Good customer care skills.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of statutory requirements.
