£51,801 - £59,724
Do you want to be part of making Thurrock fit for the future?
Thurrock Council is on a major change journey and is looking for people to help in the delivery of this. Following the Council being put into intervention in 2022 a vast amount of work has already been successfully undertaken to ensure the Council is back on track and moving towards financial stability, but there is more to do.
The Council is currently recruiting to a number of roles across the finance team to help drive the Councils new Corporate Plan 'A Fresh Start for Thurrock’, which sets out how they will operate over the next five years as it recovers and rebuilds trust with residents and communities. The finance team will play a hugely important role in securing the Councils future.
Reporting to the Head of Finance for their directorate the roles will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and value add finance business partnering service to their allocated area. They will need to build effective relationships with senior managers providing advice and challenge to aid decision making. The roles will also look at saving proposals, support capital projects, provide financial and commercial analysis for business cases and produce financial models for any service improvements.
The directorates the roles are supporting are Adults, Housing and Place & Corporate.
To be suitable for the role, you need to be a fully qualified accountant with previous experience of providing a finance business partnering service in a large complex organisation. Previous experience in a local government setting is highly desirable but not essential for all the roles.
We are looking for ambitious finance professionals who are excited by a challenge and being part of a transformation programme that will have a massively positive impact on the local community. If this is you, do please get in touch.
The closing date for these roles is Monday 27th January.
