Import Freight Operator

Noble Recruiting are currently recruiting a confident and experienced Import Freight Operator to join our friendly and proactive Client in West Thurrock.

Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK Resident residing within the local area. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Your responsibilities include:

• Booking shipments from start to finish providing all shipping details to the importer
• Booking shipments with overseas agents worldwide for ocean and air freight
• Providing all shipping details to the importer
• Quoting clients for all import modes.
• Checking arrivals of vessels and keeping in constant contact with the importer
• Processing of customs entries for air, sea and land freight
• Working knowledge of CNS / Destin8, although not essential
• Booking deliveries
• Completing sales invoices and passing purchase invoices
• Weekly shipping reports for customers
• Dealing with supplier and customer queries
• Looking for (min) 2 - 3 years’ experience

You will need:

• Confident and outgoing individual.
• Import/Freight Experience required.
• Experience using CNS/Destin8 systems.
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
• Able to communicate in a clear, concise, and logical manner both verbally and written.
• Be able to organise and multi-task.
• Worked within a Freight Forwarding environment with 2-3 years experience.
• Good time management skills.
• Driver with own transport is desirable.
• UK resident and the right to work in the UK.
