We are working with a specialist contractor providing an all-inclusive design, supply and installation service throughout the UK. With some really impressive projects to their name, this client are looking to bolster their team with this planning resource for the year ahead.Job Description:

  • The Assistant Planner plays a key role in supporting the successful delivery of projects by developing, monitoring, maintaining, and updating project schedules in collaboration with the project teams. This role involves tracking progress, identifying variances, and providing detailed reports to the team, including updates on changes to the critical path and key project milestones.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with project teams to generate and monitor short-term lookahead schedules, ensuring alignment with overall project plans.
  • Breaking down projects into distinct phases of development, facilitating clear planning and execution.
  • Preparing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation to support efficient project setup and management.
  • Track project progress and performance against baseline programmes & lookaheads
  • Assess and record time impacts and delays.
  • The Assistant Planner will be instrumental in ensuring projects remain on track and well-coordinated, contributing to their overall success.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in the use of excel, PowerPoint, or PDF editors
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
  • Ability to work within a team.
