Tennants Distribution Ltd is a leading independent distributor of chemicals based in the UK. We are a subsidiary company of Tennants Consolidated Ltd and our origins go back to the late 1700's when the company was founded in Glasgow, Scotland.

Today we are distributors for some of the world's major chemical companies stocking over 2500 products in various packaging sizes and in many cases, we are able to offer product in intermediate bulk containers (IBC's) and bulk road tanker quantities

We are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Transport Manager to join our Grays depot.
The hours of work will be to suit the business requirements covering a basic 40 hours per week.

The Main Duties include:

•  Answering phones with transport enquiries
•  Updating customers with the whereabouts of deliveries.
•  Booking customers in and all associated administration.
•  Updating various bespoke software packages including spreadsheets and reporting.
•  General filing and office admin.
•  Taking payments from customers.
•  Calling clients to ensure a smooth customer service process is maintained.
•  Supporting in servicing of our heavy goods vehicles

•  Extremely organised, methodical with a good memory
•  Good handwriting
•  Able to problem solve and think on your feet.
•  Able to take ownership of workload.
•  Good literacy and numeracy skills
•  Time management skills
•  Work well under pressure.
•  High attention to detail
•  MS office experience
•  Immaculately presented.
•  CPC- certificate of professional competence
