Project Manager - Thurrock

My client is a bulk liquid storage provider operating terminals strategically placed across the UK. They currently require a project managerto be based permanently attheir site in Grays, Essex.

Role:

  • Lead multiple sustaining (M&R) and growth CAPEX projects on terminal assets.
  • Ensure the safe delivery of projects that meet agreed objectives and key results, within authorised budgets and to agreed schedules.
  • Responsible for all stages of development and implementation of several projects and/or engineering works at various locations at any one time.
  • Ensure that all work is safely executed and in full compliance with company standards and UK/European legislation.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement, management of change and commissioning and handover procedures.
  • Ensure engineering and project management procedures are followed.
  • Manage engineering projects as required by the business including; the production of design calculations, drawings, specifications, programmes and budgets, procurement, installation and commissioning.
  • Available on mobile to provide engineering advice 24/7.
  • Attend site out of hours, if available, for critical project activities.
  • Any other tasks that may arise in the day-to-day functionality of this position.
  • Ensure suitable input received from terminal management team for all engineering and maintenance work.

Requirements:

  • A relevant engineering degree or similar.
  • External accreditation with a recognised project management methodology (PMP/Prince 2)
  • Experience as a project manager, managing multiple brownfield modification projects on process, chemical or petrochemical and COMAH sites.
  • Experience managing project teams.

Salary/Package:

  • 65k-70kper annum DOE.
  • Pension 5% (you) - 9% (employer)
  • 25 days + 8 BHs annual leave increasing by one day per service.
  • Life Assurance x 4 annual salary.
  • Christmas bonus - 1 week salary.
