Pin Point Recruitment are looking for a Process Operator for a chemical manufacturing business based in Grays, Essex.

The company have been established since 1979 and cover 9 sites across the UK with the Grays site being the headquarters. They supplyboth bulk and packed chemicals to a variety of industries including agriculture, water, steel production, energy utilities, pharmaceuticals, and homecare products.

Job Role:

  • Use of Data Acquisition software to monitor the condition and parameters of tanker loading and stock
  • Reading instruments and making adjustments to settings as required
  • Manual operation of valves, pumps and set points.
  • Taking scheduled samples for lab analysis.Supervision of goods in and out, including loading, unloading of road tankers and using forklift trucks.
  • Physical data logging onto paper and computer records for archiving.
  • Some manual work including housekeeping and replacing filters etc.
  • Ensure that any problems are reported to the relevant supervisor/department immediately
  • Ensure that personal protective clothing is worn at all times, and is in good order
  • Ensure a thorough and efficient handover is completed by logbook and verbal

Hours:

  • 4 on 4 off
  • 12 hour shifts
  • 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off

Experience needed:

  • Vast experience working within a process environment
  • Proven experience working chemicals or blending
  • Health safety conscience
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Counterbalance forklift licence is a advantage
