We are currently recruiting for a skilled and dedicated HGV Fitter to join our clients growing team in Thurrock, offering competitive pay and a dynamic work environment. This role involves inspecting and maintaining a fleet of HGV trailers and vehicles, ensuring compliance with all required legal safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service and inspect vehicles to VOSA standards.
- Diagnose and rectify faults as they arise.
- Identify and order necessary parts.
- Perform breakdown duties when required.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the vehicle maintenance system.
- Keep the workshop facilities, tools, and equipment clean and well-maintained.
- Ensure proper use of PPE.
- Perform routine servicing and repairs, including brakes, gearbox, and clutch repairs.
- Work to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in heavy vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostics (essential).
- Experience in a busy HGV workshop (essential).
- ADR experience and knowledge (essential).
42 hours per week, between 06:00 AM and 07:00 PM, on a rotating shift pattern.
