Job Description:

As a Facilities Technician at our renowned food manufacturing facility in Shropshire, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting routine inspections and assessments of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Performing preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the continued functionality of facility assets.
  • Responding promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Completing repairs and renovations to maintain the safety, efficiency, and appearance of the facility.
  • Coordinating with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair projects.
  • Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of supplies and equipment needed for facility maintenance.
  • Implementing energy conservation measures and promoting sustainable practices within the facility.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure work environment for all staff and visitors.

Qualifications and Skills:

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and skills:

  • Previous experience in facility maintenance or a related field.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools for repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with colleagues, contractors, and vendors.
