Salary: 40,000 per annum
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Job Description:
As a Facilities Technician at our renowned food manufacturing facility in Shropshire, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting routine inspections and assessments of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Performing preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the continued functionality of facility assets.
- Responding promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Completing repairs and renovations to maintain the safety, efficiency, and appearance of the facility.
- Coordinating with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair projects.
- Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of supplies and equipment needed for facility maintenance.
- Implementing energy conservation measures and promoting sustainable practices within the facility.
- Adhering to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure work environment for all staff and visitors.
Qualifications and Skills:
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and skills:
- Previous experience in facility maintenance or a related field.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with colleagues, contractors, and vendors.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
