About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our clients dynamic team at their Great Dunmow office. In this role, you will primarily work from the office, but site visits and client meetings will be required. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in estimating and winning electrical projects while working closely with clients, suppliers, and their operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visit client sites to gather requirements and understand project scope.

  • Interpret client specifications and produce scope of works and quotations.

  • Perform take-offs, pricing, electrical load calculations, and cable sizing.

  • Obtain pricing from suppliers and wholesalers.

  • Present and discuss tenders during on-site meetings with clients.

  • Answer client technical queries and follow up on tenders submitted.

  • Use strong negotiation skills to help secure projects.

  • Collaborate with the operations team on project handovers.

Ideal Skills and Qualifications:

  • Formal electrical qualification (electrician, engineering, or electrical building services).

  • Experience with enquiry and prequalification documents.

  • Preferred on-site experience.

  • Strong understanding of electrical mains, sub-mains connections, and cable sizing.

  • Knowledge of plumbing (preferred).

  • Familiarity with contract types such as JCT and NEC.

  • Negotiation experience with strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and IT skills, including Microsoft 365.
