Our well established client is seeking a well organised individual to join their growing team. They are a UK leading provider of testing services using their state of the art laboratory.

Main Duties

  • To act as first point of contact for phone enquires with professional telephone manner.
  • To chase sub-contracted work.
  • To support client emails and assist the admin team with general day to day workload.
  • To deal with queries.
  • To make general orders.
  • To carry out ad-hoc duties.
  • To take responsibility for own Health & Safety whilst at work.
  • To report any bad practices witnessed to the Sample Prep Manager.

Essential skills required

  • Experience in an administrative role. 
  • Strong prioritisation and organisational skills.
  • Positive attitude towards change.
  • Adaptability to use various in-house systems and processes.
  • Close attention to detail and an understanding of operating within a quality system.
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft based products, in particular Excel and Word).
  • Good written and verbal communication.

Desirable

  • Experience in a customer service/admin role.
  • Scientific education background, but not essential.
  • Knowledge of an industry work stream (Laboratory, analytical Chemistry, Geotechnical testing etc.).
