Embedded Firmware Engineer

A new name in the Semiconductor industry seeks an Embedded Firmware Engineer to develop embedded and host firmware for their silicon products. Generous salary with Hybrid working (minimum of 3 days in office) and Shares.

Essential Requirements for the Embedded Firmware Engineer include:

  • Relevant Electronic related Degree qualification.
  • Expertise in designing, coding and debugging real-time applications in C and/or C++ in an embedded environment.
  • Working with Embedded SoC systems using bare-metal, RTOS or Linux.
  • Board and SoC bring-up with JTAG and other debug tools.
  • Experience in porting and use of RTOS: Zephyr, FreeRTOS.
  • Linux host development: Kernel and Userspace driver architecture.
  • Interfacing to hardware and peripherals: I2C/SMBus, SPI, JTAG.

The successful Embedded Firmware Engineer will join a Team of Global technology professionals and innovators, working together to develop high speed and energy efficient chip to chip link solutions which are key to the evolution of the electronics industry.

You will focus on developing embedded and host firmware for the company’s range of silicon products; ensuring code quality via implementation and running of software test suites as well as undertaking software design and support for the silicon design infrastructure.
