The Job
A world-leading defence technology company are looking for a Commercial Manager who will be responsible for providing commercial and contracts support on a diverse portfolio of projects from initial opportunity identification through to contract completion.
You will be a strategic thinker, supporting the overall business objectives for growth and innovation (UK and International) demonstrating an awareness and forethought beyond the task at hand with a three year planning horizon.
Responsibilities
- Manage your projects portfolio with minimal supervision and have experience of leading negotiations
- Engaging at senior management levels within the business and may have line management responsibility for more junior members of the team
- Support contract management activities
- Responsible for all aspects of commercial and contractual support including customer bidding and contracting, advising on export and import control (in support of our trade solutions team), risk management, change control, contract and document drafting, and issue resolution
Requirements
- Previous Commercial Management experience ideally within the Defence sector
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Motivated and an accountable self-starter
- A university degree (or comparable work experience), is accredited to IACCM (WCC) Advanced Practitioner status or higher, or MCIPS qualified, with around 5 years of practical experience in a commercial role.
- Currently holds Security Clearance or has before
