Procurement & Stock Control Manager

Salary £40,000 - £50,000 D.O.E
Overview:
You will be responsible for all company procurement through their chosen ERP and MRP system, as well as the management of suppliers.
Also you will manage the stock of materials and finished products to ensure that the online store is fully stocked on all lines, and raw materials are available for all sales orders.
You will also propose and introduce new procedures and processes to manage business risk and improve business resilience.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies.
- Prepare cost estimates and manage budgets.
- Manage daily purchasing activities, supervise staff, and allocate tasks.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
- Work to improve purchasing systems and processes.
- Maintain the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
- Raise all Purchase Orders through the company’s chosen Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Review purchase orders raised by the team, ensuring best value for the business.
- Coordinate stock to determine and manage business requirements.
- Manage the business inventory database.
- Work with Finance to carry out annual stocktakes.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Production, and other relevant departments to organise the efficient flow of inventory.
- Resolve grievances with suppliers in a timely manner.
- Replenish stock and negotiate the best prices with suppliers.
- Ensure that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Work closely with the Quality Manager to ensure compliance with all business accreditations.
- Train new employees in the purchasing process and how to use the purchasing system.
- Report to the directors and the team at monthly meetings.
