Our client runs after-school, weekend and holiday clubs in the STEM space, for children aged 5-15 years old. They are passionate about children developing the skills they need to thrive in the digital economy, while having fun building computer games.
The Role

Operational
- Oversee the daily operations of the club and the tutoring team to ensure effective delivery of the club's various programmes.
- Timely opening up, preparation and closing of the venue.
- Ensure the club is a fun and safe learning environment for our students.
- Uphold company standards with respect to cleanliness, health & safety, and operational expectations.
- Exercise agile thinking to resolve issues quickly and in a logical manner.
- Close relationship with the company owners to update on club progress, operational issues, and team performance.
- Oversee implementation of latest activities and technology to the club.
- Prepare and organise for club events and holiday camps.
Sales/Marketing
- Respond to new customer enquiries.
- Professionally present leaflets/marketing materials at the club.
- Support the Marketing Lead in club marketing activities.
HR/Staff
- Manage the tutoring team rota and staff development, performance reviews.
- Oversee staff training and implementation of new technology and activities, induct new staff onto the team.
- Support HR lead with recruitment efforts for the team.
Customer Services
- Communicate effectively with parents to understand and define childrens learning needs, and develop a relationship with them.
- Engage with children in the club to make them feel welcome and support their development.
- Ensure parents understand their child's progress and what activities they are undertaking
The Candidate
Essential
- Fun, energetic and can-do attitude.
- People management experience.
- Computer literate, proficient using MS Office.
- A keen enthusiasm for working with kids or working within an educational establishment.
- Must be personable with customers and have excellent communication skills.
- An ability to bring the best out in others and provide a supportive team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and enjoy adapting to change and problem-solving in a logical manner.
- Pro-active mindset, pay attention to detail and deadlines.
Desirable
- Special education needs training or work experience.
- Working with the general public (retail or other customer facing roles).
Terms
- Typically 20-25 hours per week.
- The role will require 3 days onsite 3-7pm, and Saturdays 8am-3:30pm and 2 hours for administration to be done remotely.
- Working Pattern Aylesbury - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 3pm to 7pm. Saturdays: 8am to 3:30pm.
- Working pattern High Wycombe - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 3pm-7pm, and Saturdays 8am-3:30pm
- Holiday camps and other overtime events may also require onsite at times during holidays
- Starting at £14.00 per hour.
- Additional benefits: Bonus scheme, company pension, employee discount for use of the clubs, on-site parking.
- 22 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro-rata), increasing by one day for each year of services up to 25 days.
