Are you an experienced salesperson, proficient in driving new business and expanding existing portfolios?

Have you been in a field-based role working for a steel stockholder or similar?

Attega Group is partnering with one of the largest steel stockholders in the UK on their search for a Business Development Executive to join their office based in Suffolk, however this is a field-based position where you are expected to visit clients 3-4 days a week.

The main purpose of this role is to  develop growth in the company through increased sales and customer acquisition. Your job duties are to generate sales leads, contact potential clients, and nurture existing customer relationships.

In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £45,000 P/A, depending on experience, plus bonus, vehicle or car allowance, plus more  

This is a full-time, permanent The hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm  

our responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Using your sales skills and knowledge to identify opportunities that establish, develop and maintain sales; in both volume and profit.
  • Organising visits using as much intelligence as possible including well-maintained report files, customer journals, turnover reports, liaising with internal members of the team and accessing systems and software available to you.
  • Maintaining concise and accurate records of all meetings, completing reports.
  • Working with Sales Executives on information such as leads, enquiries and your proposals noted in your reports.
  • Approaching new clients for potential business while maintaining and nurturing existing relationships already set in place, identifying opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell. 


The ideal candidate:

  • Have experience working as a BDM
  • Used to prioritising your workload
  • Excellent communication skills
