Role Overview:As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, maintaining budgets and forecasts, and ensuring compliance with tax and reporting requirements. This is a hands-on role that will require close collaboration with senior management and external stakeholders, including auditors and tax advisors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary, cost accruals, tax provisions, and accrued income.
  • Develop and manage rolling budgets and forecasts, covering profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Coordinate year-end results preparation and audit files, liaising with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Oversee tax reporting and compliance across relevant jurisdictions, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Manage environmental, insurance, and other statutory reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the Finance Manager to provide senior management with accurate financial information and reports.
  • Support process improvements to enhance financial control and reporting systems.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified accountant (Certified Management Accountant or Chartered Accountant) with solid experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and auditing.
  • Strong technical expertise in tax reporting and compliance, particularly across multiple regions.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (Sage 200 preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • A proactive, adaptable approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
