Our client is a major engineering consultancy who has been rapidly growing within various sectors. The company is growing at an impressive rate due to the high demands for their services in Subsea consultancy.

They have a great opportunity in their UK team for an ambitious Marine Geoscientist, to join their experienced and dynamic team, to help deliver a range of projects, primarily in the offshore renewables sector.

Your responsibilities as the Marine Geoscience Consultant will include the following:

  • Analyse geophysical, and geotechnical data to assess seabed conditions and potential hazards.
  • Representing the business at industry events.
  • Conduct desktop studies to identify the optimum routes for submarine cables.
  • Review data and perform quality control.
  • Conduct cable burial assessment and reviews on existing assets.
  • Assist with technical input for tendering.
  • Review data and perform quality control.
  • Vessel, site, or client office visits.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations summarizing results and recommendations.

Preferred background

  • Proven background in Marine GeosciencesDegree in Geoscience, engineering or related subject.
  • Technical ability in GIS.
  • Proven experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams and major projects with minimal supervision.
  • An understanding of developments in submarine cable engineering principles, industry standards, and best practices.
