An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cable Moulding Technician to join our Great Yarmouth base. The successful candidate will report to the Production Manager.
The candidate will hold A Levels (or equivalent) in Maths, Science, and Technology and have the prior experience in a similar role.
The applicant will need to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and be able to confidently make objective decisions. Technical interest in engineering principles, techniques, and practices is key.
The applicant will need to demonstrate a confident "can do" attitude in a fast-paced environment and must be a team player. The applicant will need to be an excellent communicator and offer exceptional attention to detail.
Notes
Main Responsibilities
* Wiring, termination and moulding of cables and connectors to a very high standard in a fast-paced environment.
* Interpretation of wiring diagrams to complete tasks with excellent attention to detail.
* Correct use of electrical test equipment.
* Preparation of materials and parts used in cable manufacturing following company procedures.
* Inspection of cables and report generation following company procedures.
* Continue to build and expand knowledge of cable and connector types and processes.
* Consistently demonstrate the ability to observe and promote safe working practices.
* Adhere to all policies and procedures.
* To carry out other duties as required.
Requirements of Role
* Previous soldering/cable moulding experience is preferable.
* Ability to comprehensively interpret wiring diagrams
* Ambition to develop practical and technical skills and knowledge
* Ability to communicate effectively and adapt to changing priorities
