Lowestoft (Office based)

£28k - £30k

Our client is a well-established business based in Lowestoft, renowned for their dependable service and commitment to outstanding customer satisfaction. They are now looking for a skilled and motivated Credit Controller to join their expanding team.

As a Credit Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining the company's credit and collections processes. You will work closely with clients, internal teams, and the Finance Manager to ensure the timely collection of payments, effective credit management, and the resolution of any payment-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor the credit control process, ensuring debts are collected in a timely manner.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to facilitate smooth communication regarding payments.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and handle invoice discrepancies.
  • Issue invoices and statements to clients in line with agreed payment terms.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve queries and disputes efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a related finance role.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
