About the Role:As the Deputy Nursing Home Manager, you will support the Home Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our 42-bed facility, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered to our residents. This is an ideal role for an experienced nurse or senior nurse with a strong desire to take on a leadership role and make a significant impact in a compassionate, resident-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership and support to the care team, fostering a culture of excellence, compassion, and teamwork.
- Oversee care delivery, ensuring it meets the individual needs and preferences of our residents.
- Ensure that care plans and assessments are regularly reviewed and updated.
- Monitor and maintain health and safety standards within the home.
- Lead and mentor nursing and care staff, promoting ongoing professional development.
- Build strong relationships with families and external professionals.
- Assist in recruitment, staff supervision, and training.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Registered Nurse (RN, RGN, RMN, or RNLD) with a valid NMC pin.
- Previous experience in a senior nursing or leadership role within a care home setting.
- Strong understanding of CQC standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate and person-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience in managing or assisting in the management of a team.
